On the 17th of May, 2022, Leanne Manas received an honorary award for Chevalier de l’Ordre
national du Mérite in English ‘’Knight of the National Order of Merit Award’’ which was handed over
by the H.E. Mr. AurélienLechevallier Ambassador of France to South Africa at the Sanctuary
Mandela, Houghton Estate Johannesburg.
The Ambassador of France, Mr. AurélienLechevallier gave a phenomenal speech and highlighted
Leanne Mana’s achievements. Leanne was honoured to receive the for Chevalier de l’Ordre national
du Mérite award by Mr. AurélienLechevallier. In her speech, she said, “I do not work for recognition
but instead, I aspire to do work worthy of recognition” and she continued to show her gratitude to all the people that were in attendance and most importantly the Ambassador of France H.E. Mr.
AurélienLechevallier.
In attendance were family, close friends, and some of Johannesburg’s prominent figures, namely Major General Bantubonke (Bantu) Harrington Holomisa and Founder of Brand Africa Mr. Thebe Ikalafeng the to name a few.
